Hosts Alex and Jordan cover last week’s cannabis news, Kentucky first. Election Day Eve: no-excuse early voting Oct. 29-31 ended, Jefferson County offered its first drive-thru voting, and Election Day is Nov. 3, 6 AM-6 PM local. Kentucky is not a ballot-initiative state, so decriminalization is not on the ballot — voters elect the legislators for the 2027 session.
Federally, the DEA issued its first federal registrations Oct. 30 to 900+ state-licensed medical dispensaries in AL/FL/MS/SD/TX/VA/WV (medical only), with broader rescheduling replies due Nov. 5. The hemp countdown continues: Nov. 12 synthetic-cannabinoid phase and Dec. 11 broader 0.4 mg per-container cap, with an Oct. 28 CRS report noting FDA lists are still unpublished. Nationally, MA Question 8 and ID HJR 4 are on the Nov. 3 ballot.
Sponsors mentioned in the audio, with three highlighted: Speakeasy Dispensary, Kentucky Alternative Care, and LexMed CannaCare.
