Sponsor Spotlight: Speakeasy Coming to Maysville

October 25, 2026

Good news for Mason County patients: Speakeasy Dispensary is preparing to open a medical cannabis retail location in downtown Maysville, at 317 W. 2nd Street, right in front of Caproni’s on the River.

No official grand-opening date has been publicly announced yet — this is a coming-soon location, not an open store. But the site is already on the calendar: on Thursday, November 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., it will host a low-cost medical cannabis card drive sponsored by the Kentucky Cannabis Industry Association.

That matters for patients in Mason County and the surrounding area, who today have to travel to reach a licensed dispensary. A downtown Maysville location brings regulated medical cannabis access closer to home, and a card drive at the site itself helps residents obtain or renew a Kentucky medical cannabis card before the store opens.

Once the location is operating, only registered patients with a valid state medical cannabis card and photo ID will be able to purchase products there.

A KCFC sponsor, expanding in Kentucky

Speakeasy is a Platinum yearly sponsor of KCFC — backing the fight for decriminalization, not just the medical program. With seven Kentucky locations already open — Ashland, Bowling Green, Corbin, Lexington, Nortonville, Princeton, and Stanford — Speakeasy is one of Kentucky’s largest dispensary operators, and Maysville would extend that reach into Mason County.

When you shop with a sponsor, you’re funding the businesses that fund our rights. Thank you to Speakeasy for standing with KCFC.

The bigger picture

Medical access is a milestone — but it isn’t the finish line. Thousands of Kentuckians still can’t qualify for a card, can’t afford the drive, or live nowhere near a dispensary. That’s why KCFC is fighting to put decriminalization on the Kentucky ballot: adults 21+ could possess up to one ounce and cultivate, harvest, and store up to five plants for personal use, free of criminal sanction. No card required. No doctor’s visit. No fees.
